How do you know which height of flagpole is right for your home? Generally, in residential settings, flagpoles 20 and 25 feet in height are compatible with most one and two story single family dwellings.

We are sometimes asked whether you need a permit to put up a flagpole, or a flagpole over a certain size. The answer to that is that it depends on the zoning laws in the area where you live. Some areas require a permit if you want to install a flagpole of more than 20 feet in height. When in doubt, check with your local zoning office to see if you need to apply for a permit. We can also provide you with more information about flagpole sizes and zoning for the areas we serve.
